In almost 50 years of my life, I have experienced many exciting moments, and almost 25 of those years I have enjoyed coffee as an integral part of my daily life. But to be honest, I have never really understood the coffee culture, the quality of each type of coffee I am drinking. I don’t know if the coffee I use is clean or not, of good quality or just mixed coffee, impregnated coffee, rustic coffee…
All these perceptions changed when I met a friend, a brother, Mr. Pham Tan Dat, an entrepreneur and founder of the FROM CAUDAT Coffee (FCD) brand.
Through conversations, I felt like I was “enlightened“ about Vietnamese coffee, Mr. Dat‘s aspiration is not only limited to business, but also wants to help Vietnamese people enjoy high-quality specialty coffee, grown by farmers in their homeland.
Mr. Dat shared with me about FCD‘s coffee production process, from selecting varieties, taking care of plants, to harvesting and processing. Every step is done with dedication and patience, in order to bring the most quintessential coffee products. I understand that coffee is not just a drink but an art, a culture, and more importantly, the connection between farmers and consumers.
Mr. Dat‘s aspiration is not only to create high-quality coffee products but also to educate consumers about the value of Vietnamese coffee. I realized that many people, like me, have drunk coffee without knowing how much knowledge and understanding there is to distinguish the type of coffee they have used. That is the reason that FCD wants to create a new awareness, so that Vietnamese people understand and appreciate what their homeland produces.
As you know, coffee not only offers great taste, but it is also a source of livelihood for many farming families. The aspiration to start a business from the coffee industry will open up many opportunities for those who are passionate, want to try and get rich. Farmers can directly participate in the value chain, from production to consumption, creating world–class products. This also means that they can improve their lives, improve the quality of education and health care for their children, and contribute to the development of the community.
We all know that, “Coffee is a masterpiece that Mother Nature bestows on the Vietnamese people“, and I believe that, with the support of modern technology and enthusiasm from people like Mr. Dat, we can fully exploit this resource. I am sure that FCD always strives to not only solve economic problems but also create a deep coffee culture, bringing sustainable value to the future.
With this new understanding, I am sure that I can contribute to educating other consumers, helping them to be more aware of coffee and choose quality products with the taste of their homeland. Mr. Pham Tan Dat‘s aspiration ignited a fire in me; I will not only be a consumer but also an inspiration to others to raise awareness of coffee together and fully enjoy the best that Vietnam has to offer.
Let‘s work with me and FCD to implement the “Aspiration for Vietnam’s High-Quality Specialty Coffee“. This is not only a slogan, but also a comprehensive mission to revive the core values of coffee in the minds of consumers.
We will work together to connect coffee farmers and the market, ensuring farmers get the value they deserve from the products they create.
